HOW LONG THE SURGERY TAKES?
Surgery will take about one to two hours depending upon the individual requirements. If additional procedures like VAGINOPLSTY/ HYMEN REPAIR etc are also required simultaneously, then it will take longer. This will be discussed by the surgeon during your consultation.

HOW LONG WILL I STAY IN THE HOSPITAL?
The technique of Labiaplasty surgery which we follow in VITAL CLINIC does not require any hospitalization at all. You will be in the CLINIC for only the duration of the surgery. Once the operation is over, we take you to your private room where you will be given some tea/coffee and light snacks. After that the surgeon will give you some post-operative instructions. Then there will be a final check to make sure that everything is alright. After that you may go home. You will be walking normally after surgery.

WHAT IS THE CHARGE FOR LABIAPLASTY?
In the western world women are charged anywhere above $6000.00 for labiaplasty surgery. We at VITAL CLINIC charge less than one third of our counterparts in US or Europe. WHAT ARE THE ‘RISKS’ OF SURGERY?
It is extremely rare to have any serious problem from LABIAPLASTY surgery when it is performed under local anaesthesia by the tumescent technique. However, occasionally minor issues like, infection, some bleeding, scarring, blood collection etc may happen which can be easily handled by your surgeon. You will be required to report and take advice of your surgeon in the event of any such happening. We are telling you this because we want you to be well informed. However, a great majority of our patients are very satisfied with the surgery results and after-surgery care given by VITAL CLINIC.

WHAT WILL I EXPERIENCE AFTER SURGERY?
Immediately after surgery you will be very comfortable and absolutely from pain. However, after few hours when the effect of anaesthesia wears off, there will be some pain in the operated area. You will be prescribed pain killer medication for that. This will go on decreasing rapidly with each passing day and you will be very comfortable in a week’s time. Complete healing takes about six weeks. However, improvement in appearance continues to happen for four to six months.

WHAT PRECAUTIONS ARE REQUIRED AFTER SURGERY?
One should avoid sexual activities for six weeks after surgery. Local hygiene should be maintained as per the advice of the surgeon until complete healing has taken place. Heavy strenuous activities like aerobics should be avoided for six weeks.

WHICH ADDITIONAL PROCEDURES CAN BE DONE WITH LABIAPLASTY?
Quite often many women prefer a combination of VAGINOPLASTY (vagina tightening surgery) with Labiaplasty. Often there is a hood of skin on the clitoris which can be corrected at the same time to expose the clitoris head for enhanced sexual stimulation during sex. Sometimes HYMEN REPAIR or what is called ‘VIRGINITY SURGERY’ can be combined with Labiaplasty. Details of these procedures and charges can be discussed with the surgeon during your consultation.
